Sony announced earlier this week that the free games offered in the PS Plus Collection will no longer be offered after May 9. However, if you claim them now, they’re yours to own forever. You don’t even have to download them, just make sure you add them to your library before the offer expires in a few months.
How to claim games from the PS Plus Collection
To claim games from the PlayStation Plus Collection, open the PlayStation Plus app from the home screen. Then, select “PlayStation Plus Collection.” To claim a game, select it and then press the “Add to library” option. Even if you don’t download it, it will be available in your inventory when the collection disappears. The PlayStation Plus Collection is only available to PS Plus subscribers on PS5.
The PS Plus Collection was launched after the PS5 was released in 2020 as a way to let users build up their library of games on the new console. It includes several popular first and third-party games from the PS4 era. Here is the complete list of games offered in the PS Plus Collection:
- Batman: Arkham Knight
- Battlefield 1
- Bloodborne
- Call of Duty: Black Ops 3
- Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy
- Days Gone
- Detroit: Become Human
- Fallout 4
- Final Fantasy 15
- God of War
- Infamous Second Son
- Monster Hunter World
- Mortal Kombat X
- Ratchet and Clank
- Resident Evil 7: Biohazard
- The Last Guardian
- The Last of Us Remastered
- Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End
- Until Dawn
After May 9, these games will no longer be available as a free perk for PS Plus subscribers. Instead, you’ll have to buy them individually at their listed price. Be sure to claim the games that interest you, even if you plan to keep them at the bottom of your backlog for the foreseeable future.
